About the role

Fast Food Chain is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team on a full time basis in Kotara, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our culinary operations and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As Chef, you will be at the heart of our kitchen, responsible for menu development, food preparation, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role is crucial to our restaurant's success and reputation, allowing you to showcase your culinary expertise and creativity whilst managing a dynamic kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

- Planning, preparing and cooking meals to a high standard, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes
- Developing and designing menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends whilst meeting customer preferences
- Managing kitchen operations, including stock control, food ordering and waste management
- Supervising and training kitchen staff, maintaining professional standards and fostering a positive team setting
- Ensuring all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring a clean, organised and hygienic workspace at all times
- Monitoring food costs and portion control to optimise profitability
- Collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Creating innovative dishes and specials that enhance the dining experience and drive customer loyalty

What we're looking for





- Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Cook in a professional kitchen environment, ideally with 5+ years of experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and culinary principles across various cuisines
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop kitchen staff
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations, food handling and hygiene standards
- Creative flair and ability to develop innovative menus and dishes that appeal to diverse clientele
- Proficiency in portion control, stock management and cost management to maintain profitability
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certification from a recognised training institution
- Passion for quality ingredients and commitment to delivering exceptional food experiences

Work Location: In person

Pay: $66,292.32 – $80,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kotara NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

- Food Safety Supervisors Certificate (Required)
