Urbanimals Pet Wahroonga is a specialised pet retail and pet-care business providing quality pet products, professional grooming, dog training and related services to the local community.

We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our Wahroonga store. This is a full-time position suited to a hands-on manager with strong retail operations, staff supervision, stock control and customer-service experience.

Key responsibilities include:

- Plan, organise and manage the daily operations of the retail store.
- Supervise, roster, train and coordinate retail and customer-service staff.
- Monitor stock levels and determine purchasing and replenishment requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and coordinate orders, deliveries and product availability.
- Manage merchandising, product presentation and in-store displays.
- Monitor sales performance, customer demand and stock movement.
- Manage pricing, promotions and product ranges.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, refunds and service issues.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and store presentation.
- Coordinate retail activities with the grooming,



dog-training and marketing teams.
- Monitor store expenses and assist with achieving sales and profitability targets.
- Implement and maintain store procedures, workplace standards and operational policies.
- Report on sales, staffing, inventory and operational performance to the Director.

About you

The successful applicant should have:

- relevant experience in retail management or store management;
- demonstrated experience supervising and coordinating employees;
- strong stock-control, purchasing and supplier-management skills;
- experience with merchandising and retail sales;
- strong customer-service and problem-solving skills;
- good organisational and communication skills;
- the ability to independently manage day-to-day store operations; and
- an interest in or knowledge of pet products and the pet-care industry.

Previous experience in a pet retail, grooming, animal-care or similar specialised retail workplace will be highly regarded.

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
