About the Role

Factory51 is looking for an experienced, confident, and personable wait person to join our restaurant team in Coorparoo.

We’re looking for someone who already understands restaurant service and can step onto the floor with confidence. You’ll be responsible for looking after your own section, providing warm and attentive service, communicating effectively with the kitchen and bar, and making sure guests have a great experience from arrival through to payment.

This role suits someone who enjoys busy restaurant service, knows how to read a table, and can provide professional service without making it feel overly formal.

Key Responsibilities

● Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient table service

● Confidently manage your own section during busy services

● Greet and seat guests and take food and beverage orders

● Have a strong understanding of the menu and confidently answer guest questions

● Make appropriate food and beverage recommendations and upsell naturally

● Accurately enter orders through the POS system

● Communicate clearly with the kitchen, bar, and other floor staff

● Run food and drinks and monitor tables throughout their meal

● Transparent, reset, and prepare tables efficiently

● Process bills and payments accurately

● Understand dietary requirements and allergy procedures

● Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the restaurant

● Assist with opening, closing,



and general restaurant duties

● Work as part of the team to keep service running smoothly during busy periods

What We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

● Previous experience as a wait person in a busy restaurant

● The ability to confidently manage a section independently

● Strong food and beverage knowledge

● Excellent communication and customer service skills

● Good situational awareness and the ability to anticipate what a table needs

● A professional but relaxed approach to service

● The ability to stay organised and composed during busy periods

● Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic

● The willingness to help other team members rather than focusing only on your own section

● Current Queensland RSA certification

● Availability for evening and weekend shifts

That means acknowledging guests quickly, knowing the menu, keeping an eye on tables without hovering, noticing when drinks are getting low, clearing at the right time, communicating delays, and making guests feel genuinely looked after.

We’re looking for experienced hospitality people who understand that great service is often about noticing what needs to happen before someone has to ask.

Pay: $29.00 – $39.00 per hour
