Salt Human Services is seeking a reliable, compassionate and experienced Female Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing support to a bright and engaging 12-year-old boy in the Capalaba area.

Our participant has ASD Level 3 and thrives with structure, consistency and the right support around him. At times, he can experience anxiety and require additional support with emotional regulation, so we are looking for someone who is calm, patient, confident and able to provide a consistent and reassuring presence.

This role would be particularly suited to someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and young people and understands the importance of taking the time to build trust and a positive relationship.

Current Support Hours

Thursday & Friday

- 7:30am – 9:30am
- 2:30pm – 6:30pm

Saturday

- 10:00am – 4:00pm

Additional Hours

- 1 x STA (Short-Term Accommodation) Saturday per month
- School holiday shifts of approximately 6 hours

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Genuinely enjoys working with children and young people
- Has experience supporting neurodivergent children, particularly those with ASD
- Is calm, patient and confident when supporting emotional regulation
- Can provide structure, consistency and clear communication




- Is reliable and committed to building an ongoing relationship with the participant and his family
- Is comfortable supporting community access and engaging in age-appropriate activities

Essential Requirements

✔ Current Blue Card
✔ NDIS Worker Screening Check
✔ Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
✔ Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
