About the Role
This is more than a traditional accounting position. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial operations across multiple entities while providing direct support to Directors and contributing to broader business operations.
You will be exposed to finance, governance, compliance and strategic decision-making while working in a highly trusted environment where discretion and professionalism are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
- End-to-end management of accounts payable and receivable
- Preparation and processing of BAS, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Oversight of credit control and cash flow monitoring
- Working across platforms including Xero and legal billing systems (e.g. Actionstep)
- Legal Trust Accounting (Including Billing, Reconciling, Payments, Transfers and Receipting)
- Assisting with financial reporting and supporting business decision-making
- Payroll processing and invoicing for multiple entities, including:
- Restaurant
- Café
- Childcare
Director & Executive Support
- Providing day-to-day support to Directors, including coordination of financial, operational, and administrative matters
- Assisting with personal and office related financial administration, where required
- Managing sensitive financial information with a high level of confidentiality
- Supporting the preparation of reports, documentation, and executive-level correspondence
Corporate Governance & Administration
- Assisting with entity-level administration (ASIC compliance, registers, documentation tracking)
- Supporting business decision record keeping and document control processes
- Coordinating and maintaining key corporate records, approvals, and registers
- Ensuring documentation is accurate, up to date, and aligned with internal governance frameworks
What We’re Looking For
We are not looking for someone proven, multitasker and hands-on financial operator who is comfortable working at this level and thrives in a support-partner workplace.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a finance or accounting role (SME or multi-entity experience preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (or equivalent accounting systems)
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A discreet, trustworthy, and professional approach to sensitive information
- Strong organisational and administrative capabilities
- A willingness to take ownership and operate autonomously
This role would suit someone who values stability, trust, and long-term fit, rather than rapid progression out of hands-on work.
