Your new role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting growers, coordinating field operations and driving crop production outcomes across Southern Tasmania. With a strong focus on grower engagement, agronomic support, contractor coordination and harvest delivery, as Field Officer, you will be the key link between the business, growers and contractors across your designated region. Working autonomously in a field-based role, you will support existing farming partners while identifying opportunities to engage and onboard new growers.

Key responsibilities include:

- Building strong, trusted relationships with growers and the wider farming community

- Providing agronomic guidance and support throughout the crop life cycle

- Coordinating contractors for land preparation, sowing, spraying and harvesting activities

- Managing harvest programmes and ensuring timely crop delivery

- Recruiting and securing new growers to support production targets

- Maintaining accurate crop and operational records

- Monitoring contractor performance and quality standards





- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and agricultural specialists to achieve production objectives.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you'll bring a practical agricultural background, ideally supported by agronomy experience. More importantly, you'll be a genuine people person who can establish credibility with farmers and contractors alike.

You will demonstrate:

- Experience within agriculture, farming, agronomy or a related industry

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

- The ability to influence and engage farming businesses

- Excellent organisational and planning capabilities

- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, contractors or seasonal operations

- A pragmatic, adaptable and solutions-focused approach

- High levels of integrity, honesty and professionalism

- A willingness to travel regularly throughout regional Tasmania

- A genuine appreciation for rural communities and country lifestyles.

An agricultural degree or diploma are highly desirable.
