The Role

The successful applicant should possess exceptional organisational skills and the ability to balance strategic priorities with the day-to-day operational demands of a school. They will ideally be proactive, solutions-focused and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within the leadership team. They will ideally show a strong work ethic and sound judgement while fostering a culture of shared responsibility among staff, volunteers and the wider school community, encouraging all stakeholders to contribute to the school's vision and goals.

The successful applicant should display their capacity to lead evidence-informed curriculum improvement through a strong understanding of high-impact teaching practices aligned with the Department of Education's Quality Teaching Strategy. They would provide instructional leadership through coaching, classroom observation, targeted feedback and the delivery of high-quality professional learning, building staff capability and improving student outcomes.

As Deputy Principal, the desired applicant would use data strategically to monitor student progress, evaluate the impact of initiatives and drive continuous improvement through measurable outcomes and evidence-informed decision-making.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
