The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Cleaner in Charge to lead our dedicated cleaning team and play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors.
This is a split-shift position with scheduled hours in both the morning and afternoon.
The Cleaner in Charge is responsible for leading, supervising, inducting and supporting cleaning staff, including relief employees, while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. You will oversee the ordering and monitoring of cleaning supplies within budget,
maintain and stocktake cleaning equipment and ensure all cleaning duties are carried out to a high standard across the school's internal and external areas. The role also includes opening and securing the school, including operating the security alarm system.
The successful applicant will ideally have excellent organisational skills, a strong eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. You should be proactive and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A sound knowledge of cleaning equipment, safe cleaning methods and practices and the ability to lead and support others will be highly regarded.
