This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Systems Manager to take ownership of the technology group for a well established and growing melbourne based safety business.

Backed by industry and forming part of a newly established portfolio for investors, the organisation is entering an important growth phase. This newly created position will provide both hands on technology leadership and strategic direction, ensuring the business has the systems, infrastructure and technology capability required to support the wider team.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will have end to end responsibility for the organisation's IT operations and systems environment. You will work closely with business stakeholders and external technology partners to ensure systems are secure, reliable, well supported and aligned with the organisation's growth plans.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Lead and manage the day to day IT operations and technology setting across the business.

- Take ownership of infrastructure, networks, cloud environments, storage, and technical support services.

- Develop and deliver a technology roadmap aligned with business growth and operational priorities.





- Assess the existing technology environment and identify opportunities to simplify, consolidate and improve systems.

- Establish effective IT service management practices, governance and operating disciplines, including ITIL-aligned frameworks.

- Manage technology vendors, service providers, licensing and external technical partners.

- Ensure appropriate cybersecurity, data protection, business continuity and disaster recovery practices are embedded across the environment.

The ideal candidate will bring:

- Proven experience leading an IT operations, infrastructure or systems function.

- Demonstrated success delivering cloud and infrastructure modernisation initiatives.

- Excellent analytical and problem solving capability, with the ability to move comfortably between strategic priorities and hands on issues.

- A collaborative approach and the ability to operate effectively in an evolving workplace.
