As the Recruitment & Workforce Coordinator, you'll have the privilege of supporting leaders, employees and candidates through some of the most important moments in their employment journey. Working as part of the People & Culture senior leadership team, you'll collaborate closely with your peers to deliver contemporary People & Culture services and strategic workforce initiatives that support Council's long-term vision. You'll lead a capable team across recruitment, workforce planning, HR administration and HR systems, while remaining hands-on—coaching, supporting and working alongside your team to deliver outstanding service.

What we will offer you
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Remuneration of $4,049.12 gross per fortnight, with the opportunity to progress to $4,858.94 gross per fortnight, plus 12% superannuation.

Duties of this position will include, but are not limited to
As the Recruitment & Workforce Coordinator, you will:
- Lead, mentor and work alongside a team of People & Culture professionals to deliver high-quality recruitment, workforce planning, HR administration and HR systems services.
- Partner with leaders across Council to provide contemporary People & Culture advice and support across recruitment, workforce planning,
performance management and workplace change.
- Lead Council's end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring an exceptional experience for candidates, hiring managers and employees.
- Coordinate workforce planning, reporting and strategic workforce initiatives, using workforce data and insights to support informed decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance People & Culture systems, processes and service delivery, including Council's HRIS.
- Collaborate across the People & Culture leadership team to deliver organisational priorities and initiatives that strengthen Council's workforce capability and employee experience.
- Build capability and strong relationships by coaching leaders, supporting your team and fostering a customer-focused, collaborative culture.
You'll be successful in this role if you:
- Have demonstrated experience leading People & Culture functions, including recruitment, workforce planning and HR operations.
- Build strong relationships and communicate confidently with people at all levels.
- Balance strategic thinking with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
- Use data and insights to inform decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Enjoy developing people, working collaboratively and delivering outstanding customer service.
Focus Questions
1. Please outline your experience leading, mentoring and supporting a team to deliver People & Culture services and exceptional customer service.
2. Provide an example of how you partnered with leaders to deliver a workforce planning initiative or workplace change process. What was your role, how did you engage stakeholders and manage change, and what outcomes were achieved?
3. Describe a time when you identified and implemented an improvement to a People & Culture process, system or service. What was the chance, what actions did you take, and what was the result?

This role operates in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and changing demands. Describe a time when you successfully balanced operational service delivery with strategic priorities. How did you prioritise your work, support your team and ensure quality outcomes for your customers?
