The Procurement Specialist will work on a range of cyber capacity and resilience building initiatives
Your new company
Working within a complex and fast-paced environment, you will provide strategic procurement expertise and oversee end-to-end procurement activities that support key government outcomes. The initial engagement is for 12 months with extension options available.
Your new role
As the Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of procurement and contract management activities while ensuring compliance with Commonwealth procurement frameworks and governance requirements. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading end-to-end procurements from planning through to contract award and management.
- Developing procurement documentation including RFQs, RFTs and RFPs.
- Providing strategic procurement, probity and commercial advice to stakeholders.
- Managing supplier engagement, negotiations, contract execution and ongoing performance.
- Maintaining procurement governance frameworks, registers and reporting.
- Monitoring budgets, expenditure and financial commitments.
- Supporting contract management activities, including variations, extensions and performance monitoring.
- Preparing procurement briefs, business cases and recommendations for senior decision-makers.
- Ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and relevant legislative requirements.
- Strong knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), PGPA framework and government procurement governance.
- Proven contract management and commercial negotiation skills.
- The ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and written communication skills.
