We're working with an established Chartered Accounting firm in Mackay with a long-standing presence in the local business community and a diverse client base across a range of industries.

The practice provides services across taxation, business services, business advisory, audit and assurance, and SMSF, giving you the chance to work across a broad range of client matters while continuing to develop your technical and advisory skills.

The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you'll work across a variety of accounting, taxation and business advisory matters, including:

- Preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns

- BAS preparation and taxation compliance

- Tax planning and advisory work

- Accounting and reporting, budgeting and cash flow analysis

- Business advisory matters across a range of client structures

- Working directly with clients and developing strong client relationships

- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where required

The firm's client base includes businesses across mining services, agriculture, construction and fabrication, retail, healthcare and property.

This provides genuine exposure to different industries, business structures and client requirements rather than simply repeating the same type of work.

Professional Development

The firm places a strong emphasis on training and continuing professional education, with regular team training throughout the year.

There is also a demonstrated history of internal career progression, with several senior members of the team having built their careers within the firm.





Whether you're an established Senior Accountant or an experienced Intermediate ready to take the next step, there is scope to continue developing your technical, advisory and client management skills.

About You

We're interested in speaking with accountants who have Australian public practice experience and are thinking about where they want their career to go next.

You may be:

- An experienced Intermediate Accountant ready to step into a Senior role

- An established Senior Accountant looking for a different environment

- Working towards, or having completed, CA or CPA

- Looking for greater exposure to advisory and more complex client matters

- Ready for greater responsibility, client exposure or career progression
