Senior Identity Engineer 6-Month Contract | Melbourne (Hybrid)
We're partnering with a leading enterprise organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Identity Engineer to support the delivery, enhancement and operation of critical Identity & Access Management (IAM) services within a large-scale technology environment.
This is a hands-on engineering role suited to a seasoned IAM qualified with deep expertise across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and modern identity security practices. You'll work closely with architecture, security and engineering teams to drive platform improvements while ensuring the stability, security and performance of core workforce identity services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and support enhancements across enterprise identity platforms
- Manage and maintain Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID environments
- Provide operational support for critical identity services within a complex enterprise setting
- Drive automation and service improvements through scripting and engineering best practices
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and technology vendors
- Ensure platforms meet security, governance and compliance requirements
- Support project delivery through solution design, estimation and implementation
- Participate in an on-call support roster for business-critical services
Skills & Experience Require
- Strong experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
- Solid understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Experience with authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP, Kerberos and FIDO2
- Automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Python or JavaScript)
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale identity environments
- Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills
