St Vincent De Paul Society

Canberra

At St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn (Vinnies Canberra/Goulburn), volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

Across our Vinnies Shops, youth programs, education support initiatives, and community-based programs, more than 1,300 volunteers generously give their time to support people, families and communities throughout the Canberra/Goulburn region.

About the Role

Reporting to the Volunteer Services Manager and working within our People & Culture team, you'll play a key role in supporting and strengthening volunteering across the Society.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines volunteer engagement, recruitment, relationship building, compliance, project coordination and continuous improvement.

Working closely with managers, employees, volunteers and community partners, you'll help deliver initiatives that attract, support and recognise our volunteer workforce of more than 1,300 people.

No two days are the same. You may be recruiting volunteers for a new initiative, supporting a manager with a volunteer matter, coordinating a student volunteering opportunity, building community partnerships, or developing recent ways to enhance the volunteer experience.

About You

You will bring experience in volunteer coordination, community services, or a similar people-focused role, along with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to provide practical support to a diverse range of stakeholders. You are highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgement and professionalism when handling sensitive matters.

You will be required to complete a National Police Check and hold, or obtain, a Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWVP).
