Gympie Toyota is looking for a Casual Parts Interpreter to join our team and help look after the day-to-day operation of our Parts store.
We're looking for someone with motor industry experience, good computer skills and a great attitude. Previous parts interpreting experience would be ideal, but it's not essential — we're happy to train the right person.
This could particularly suit an experienced Vehicle Technician looking to step away from the tools, an existing Parts Interpreter wanting to reduce their hours, or someone with valuable motor industry experience looking for a change of pace.
The role
Working with our Parts and Service teams, your responsibilities will include:
- Parts interpreting for our workshop and customers
- Receiving and processing parts orders
- Picking and supplying parts to our technicians
- Looking after the Parts store and keeping it organised
- Managing incoming and outgoing stock
- Using Toyota and dealership computer systems
- Assisting with stock control and inventory
- Supporting the Service department with parts enquiries
- General Parts department duties as required
About you
We're more interested in finding the right person than someone who ticks every box.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience in the motor industry
- Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems
- Good automotive knowledge
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- A willingness to help and be part of the team
Previous Parts Interpreter experience would be highly regarded, but we are happy to provide training to someone with the right motor industry background and attitude.
Genuine flexibility.
We understand that the right person may not be looking for a traditional full-time position.
This is a casual role and we're flexible around days and hours. Whether you're looking to work a few days a week, shorter days or simply want to take a step back from full-time work, we're happy to have a conversation about what could work.
If you have motor industry experience and think this could be the right next step for you, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply now for a confidential conversation with the Gympie Toyota team.
A clean driver’s licence is essential and a forklift licence would also be advantageous.
Applications for the position close on: Friday, 4 September, 2026.
