About the Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join a growing technology service provider based in North Melbourne.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions across a diverse client portfolio. This position offers a dynamic mix of high-level architecture design, end-to-end project migration management, on-site deployments, and senior technical escalation support.

Key Responsibilities

- Infrastructure & Architecture: Design, build, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments aligned with client requirements.
- Project Delivery & Migrations: Lead technical deployments, system architecture overhauls, and seamless migrations to modern cloud or hybrid architectures.
- In office Deployments: Perform on-site installation, configuration, and project deployment work as required across client sites.
- Technical Escalations: Serve as a high-level technical escalation point for the support desk team to resolve complex client infrastructure issues.

Technical Skills & Experience Required

- Identity & Directory Services: Strong expertise in Active Directory, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and Microsoft Entra Connect.
- Windows Server Environment: Comprehensive experience managing core Windows Server roles (File & Storage Services, DNS, DFS, DHCP, Print Management,



IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server).
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience with Azure Files and SharePoint is highly desirable.
- Virtualisation & Storage: Proven expertise in Hyper-V management (including Hyper-V clustering with SAS or iSCSI SAN), enterprise physical servers (Dell & HPE), and Software-Defined Storage / HyperConverged platforms (e.g., StarWind vSAN).
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Deep experience with Veeam (specifically Veeam Service Provider services) for backup, recovery, and replication.
- Networking: Solid understanding of network architecture relevant to server infrastructure, including VLANs, policies, and static/dynamic routing.
- Architecture & Delivery: Demonstrated background in system architecture design and hands-on IT project management.
