Are you looking for a meaningful career where you can make a real impact?

We're seeking a compassionate, motivated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our growing team. You'll work with people with disability, families, and support teams to improve quality of life through person-centred, evidence-based, trauma-informed and culturally-safe approaches.

This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals in psychology, social work, mental health, or other human services, community services, disability, behavioural or allied therapy fields who are ready to take the next step or make a rewarding career change. We provide training in PBS and assistance to become registered through NDIS for applicants with relevant qualifications and/or experience.

This role offers a unique mix of flexibility, purpose, and adventure — with the ability to work from home for non-client facing tasks and the opportunity to travel to remote communities across the stunning Kimberley region.

As a company we prioritise employee wellbeing and work-life balance, so we offer flexible work arrangements and we also offer competitive remuneration along with further opportunities for career progression, growth and diversification.

Ochre was specifically founded to support remote communities and as we continue to grow our small but mighty team we will be exploring multiple ways to expand our reach and impact, so we are looking for passionate and dedicated employees with long term career aspirations in this unique part of the world.

About the Role

In this role, you'll support people with disability and their networks to improve quality of life through evidence-based and person-centred interventions based in trauma-informed and culturally-secure approaches. Your responsibilities will include:

- Working closely with participants, families, and support teams

- Providing in-person strategy implementation and skill-building

- Providing strategies to reduce behaviours of concern and increase wellbeing

- Travelling (if/as needed) throughout the Kimberley region to deliver services in remote communities

- Completing non-client facing tasks from home with flexible work hours

- Operating from a person centred, trauma-informed and culturally-safe lens

About You

We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds, especially those who are:

- Experienced in psychology, social work, behaviour analysis, occupational therapy, disability, mental health, or other related fields.

- Experienced or recent to PBS but passionate, values-led, and ready to train in a new direction

- Committed to human rights, person-centred practice, and trauma-informed care

- Passionate about working with First Nations people and organisations and committed to upholding and promoting cultural awareness, education and safety.

- Confident, motivated, organised and able to work independently

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Compassionate, client-focused and able to develop rapport and long-standing relationships with participants and their teams.

✅ Not yet NDIS-registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner? No problem – we offer training and support to help you gain NDIS Commission registration and transition into the field with confidence.

- ? Flexible work arrangements, including work-from-home for non-client-facing tasks

- ✈️ Opportunity to travel and deliver services in remote Kimberley communities
