WPE provides sophisticated supply chain solutions, from end-to-end or part solutions, warehousing and distribution to dedicated transport solutions, across Australia and to some of the most remote corners of NSW.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Warehouse / Operations Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, optimise processes, and ensure efficient inventory management and distribution. This role is responsible for leading a team, maintaining safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across all operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

- Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods

- Ensure accurate inventory management and stock control

- Maintain warehouse layout for optimal efficiency and space utilisation

- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements

Team Leadership

- Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff

- Create and manage staff schedules and workloads

- Foster a positive and productive team environment

- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback

Process & Efficiency

- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements

- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)

- Collaborate with other departments (procurement, logistics, sales)





- Manage warehouse systems and technology (WMS/ERP)

Health, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations

- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments

- Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free workplace

- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements

Logistics & Coordination

- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments

- Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and customers

- Monitor delivery schedules and resolve operational issues

- Manage budgets and control operational costs

Key Skills & Qualifications

- Proven experience in warehouse or operations management

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities

- Experience with inventory systems and warehouse management software

- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management

- Experience in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)

- Forklift licence or relevant certifications (if required)
