Facility Manager – Residential Aged Care

Lead a residential aged care facility with full accountability for quality, people, compliance and operational performance.

We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to provide strong leadership and overall management of a residential aged care facility.

This is a key leadership position with responsibility for ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality and person-centred care while maintaining strong clinical, operational, workforce and financial performance.

The Opportunity

As Facility Manager, you will take ownership of the overall performance of the facility and lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver positive outcomes for residents and their families.

You will oversee day-to-day operations while maintaining a strong focus on clinical governance, regulatory compliance, workforce capability, financial sustainability, risk management and continuous improvement.

A key part of the role will be creating an engaged and accountable team culture, supporting leaders and employees to deliver consistently high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide overall leadership and direction for the residential aged care facility

- Ensure safe, high-quality and person-centred care is consistently delivered

- Maintain compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant regulatory requirements

- Provide oversight of clinical governance, quality indicators, incidents and clinical risk

- Lead, coach and develop an engaged, capable and high-performing workforce

- Manage workforce planning, staffing levels, rostering and care-minute requirements

- Oversee facility budgets, expenditure and financial performance





- Maintain effective AN-ACC processes and support appropriate funding outcomes

- Drive continuous improvement and maintain readiness for internal and external audits

- Manage WHS, infection prevention and control, SIRS and broader facility risks

- Build trusted relationships with residents, families, employees, health professionals and other key stakeholders

- Support occupancy and maintain strong relationships within the local community

- Oversee the effective management of facility assets, maintenance and administrative requirements

About You

You will be an experienced aged care leader who understands that successful facility management requires a balance of quality care, strong leadership, regulatory compliance and sound commercial management.

You will bring:

- Demonstrated leadership experience within residential aged care

- Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards, accreditation and regulatory requirements

- Experience with AN-ACC, aged care funding and associated documentation

- Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality and risk management

- Demonstrated experience managing budgets and controlling operational costs

- Experience leading workforce planning, employee performance and team development

- Strong knowledge of WHS,



infection control and continuous improvement practices

- Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills

- Strong decision-making, problem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities

- The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Management, Nursing or a related discipline will be highly regarded

- Current AHPRA registration is preferred
