An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager to join an established Build to Rent developer and investment business, with projects currently underway in Scarborough and Subiaco.

We’re looking for a hands-on, practical and commercially minded person who understands construction and wants to take the next step in project management.

Ideally, you’ll come from a trade background, such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, building or similar, with some project coordination or management experience. Most importantly, you’ll enjoy being on site, working with trades and contractors, solving problems and getting involved in the day-to-day running of the business.

The Role

Working closely with the Project Manager and development team, you’ll be involved in:

- Site inspections, quality and progress monitoring
- Coordinating builders, subcontractors and consultants
- Reviewing drawings, documentation and programmes
- Assisting with variations, costs and project reporting
- Managing project tasks, documentation and meetings
- Defects, completion and handover




- Supporting the Project Manager across the full project lifecycle

This is not a desk-based role. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, inquisitive and willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved.

About You

You’ll ideally have a qualified trade or construction background, solid practical knowledge and a genuine interest in developing a career in project management and property development.

You’ll be:

- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident dealing with trades and contractors
- Proactive and willing to take ownership
- Commercially curious and keen to learn
