Job Description – Excavator Operator

Cramps Earthmoving Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating a range of excavators across various civil and earthmoving projects throughout the Hunter, Central Coast, and regional NSW.

We have built long-standing relationships with multiple local and regional councils, as well as private contractors, delivering reliable Earthmoving services across a wide range of infrastructure and civil projects. Duties include:

- Operating excavators from 3T to 13T for civil, trenching, detailed excavation, and general earthworks

- Reading and interpreting plans and site levels





- Performing daily pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance

- Following all site safety requirements and company WHS policies

- Working independently or within a small team to complete allocated tasks efficiently

- Communicating effectively with supervisors, clients, and other operators onsite

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years' experience operating excavators in a civil or earthmoving workplace

- Valid Excavator VOC or Statement of Attainment

- White Card (Construction Induction)

- Sound understanding of safety procedures and operational protocols

- Ability to work unsupervised with a high level of initiative

- HR or HC licence is desirable but not essential

- PLAT Ticket is desirable but not essential

- Australian citizenship is required for this position
