Remote Interim Finance Manager position supporting a cherished Australian charity

We're partnering with an Australian charity that makes a huge difference to the young people they serve. The organisation has a nationwide remit and the team are scattered remotely across Australia. The lack of a fixed office is just one of many examples of the charity's determination to drive their resources into their services and deliver the highest possible impact to their service users.

Description

The Interim Finance Manager role has come around through an upcoming departure that has created opportunity to reflect and respond. The role will have two main parts:

First, review the existing finance team, systems and processes and evaluate effectiveness and fitness for purpose. There are no assumptions in this role, rather the organisation is keen to identify how they can be best set up for the future and to meet existing needs. For clarity, this is not an ERP transformation assignment, this is about exploring who does what and how and optimising those processes.

The second, is to support ongoing BAU and take a handover from the departing incumbent.



You'll support a small team but need to roll the sleeves up to ensure the day-to-day activities happen

Profile

The person we are looking for to step into this Interim Finance Manager role will have:

- A solid background in accounting and finance, with prior experience in the not-for-profit sector.
- Past experience driving transformation and/or process improvement within a finance function
- Sound knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements, including those surrounding funding.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and to lead a remote team

Job Offer

The successful Finance Manager can expect either a negotiable hourly rate or a salary in the $160-$170k per annum range (pro-rata), with a fully remote working pattern. Candidates interested in part-time working who meet the full criteria may be considered
