As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused Customer Service & Administration Coordinator to join our team at our Legana office.
This is much more than a traditional administration role.
You'll become an significant part of a passionate team that helps deliver thousands of memorable travel experiences across Tasmania every year. From the first customer enquiry through to the successful delivery of a tour or charter, you'll help ensure every journey reflects the professional service and attention to detail that McDermott's is known for.
About the Role
Working directly alongside our Tour & Charter and Cradle Mountain Tours leadership teams, you'll become an important part of the team responsible for delivering some of Tasmania's most memorable travel experiences. From preparing quotations and coordinating bookings to supporting daily operations and creating accurate driver documentation, you'll help ensure every journey runs smoothly from the first customer enquiry through to the final destination.
This is a diverse and rewarding role combining customer service, administration, sales support and operational coordination. No two days are the same, making it the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in helping deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming customers and visitors to our Legana office.
- Responding to phone and email enquiries for our tours, charters and transport services.
- Preparing quotations for tour and charter enquiries under the guidance of our Sales & Marketing Manager.
- Processing bookings and maintaining accurate booking information.
- Preparing detailed driver notes and operational documentation to support the delivery of daily services.
- Liaising with customers, drivers and operational staff to ensure accurate information is communicated.
- Assisting with bookings, enquiries and payments for our popular Travel Club.
- Supporting our Sales & Marketing Manager with the coordination of tours, charters and customer enquiries.
- Maintaining customer records and booking systems.
- Providing general office administration while supporting the wider team wherever required.
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service.

Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel, is essential.
Previous experience in tourism, transport, reservations or administration will be highly regarded, however the right attitude and willingness to learn are more important than previous industry experience.
Experience with Rezdy or similar booking systems would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.
