The Role

Middy’s is looking for an experienced Sales Representative to join our team and play a key role in growing sales, developing customer relationships and expanding our presence within an assigned territory or market segment.

In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, identifying new business opportunities and promoting Middy’s products and services. You will work closely with the Branch Manager and wider sales team to achieve sales, revenue and gross profit targets while providing excellent customer service.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer relationships within the assigned territory.
- Achieve agreed sales, revenue and gross profit targets through effective account management and business development.
- Promote Middy’s products and services, identify customer needs, and convert quotes and opportunities into sales.




- Maintain accurate customer and prospect information in the CRM and actively manage sales opportunities and follow-ups.
- Build robust knowledge of products, industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and provide informed advice to customers.
- Support branch sales and marketing initiatives, including customer promotions, events and information nights.
- Work collaboratively with the Branch Manager and sales team to identify opportunities, improve market share and support business growth.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, relevant regulations and QHSE requirements.

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in the electrical wholesale industry.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- A valid driver's licence.
- A customer-focused and commercially minded approach.
- The ability to build strong relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Strong self-management, organisation and time-management skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively while taking initiative and working independently.

Experience in tendering and bid processes, a Diploma of Business or higher specialising in sales/business development, and a valid forklift licence will be highly regarded.
