About the Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced Carpenter / Building Maintenance Technician for a permanent full-time opportunity with a growing facilities management organisation in Albury.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a trade-qualified carpenter who enjoys variety and is looking to move away from purely construction into a stable, long-term maintenance role.

You will work across a diverse portfolio of commercial, government, health and residential sites, completing carpentry, repairs, and general building maintenance.

The position offers a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary of $80,000-$100,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience and additional skills. A vehicle, power tools and mobile phone may also be provided.

Your Duties May Include

- General building and facilities maintenance
- Carpentry repairs and minor works
- Installation and repair of doors, windows, flooring and framing
- Reading and interpreting plans and drawings
- Measuring, cutting and preparing timber and other building materials
- Minor plastering and patching
- Painting and finishing work
- Basic tiling
- Inspecting structures and completing repairs
- Planning and coordinating maintenance works
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and contractors
- Maintaining tools and equipment
- Completing timesheets and records of work undertaken
- Assisting with general grounds maintenance when required

The role combines traditional carpentry with broader building and facilities maintenance responsibilities.

To Be Successful,



You Will Have

- Trade qualification in Carpentry, Building or a related building trade
- Construction Industry White Card
- Asbestos awareness
- Silica awareness
- Current driver's licence
- Strong practical knowledge of hand and power tools
- Experience completing building repairs and maintenance
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and pride in your workmanship
- Physical fitness to undertake hands-on duties
- Current National Police Check or ability to obtain one
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical
