Property Lawyer (3-5+ PQE)

Rural & Regional NSW | Fully Remote, Hybrid or Office Based | Full time (flexible / part-time considered) | Training Provided in Rural Law

Lovett & Green are seeking an experienced Property Lawyer to join our team. This is a role for a lawyer who can manage their own matters, build lasting client relationships, and work closely with our Principal Solicitors on varied and meaningful engagements across the property and conveyancing space.

While our client base sits firmly in rural and regional NSW, we're looking for a strong property lawyer first and foremost: 3-5+ years' PQE with genuine, hands-on property transactional experience is essential. The specifics of rural law are something we can teach.

About Lovett & Green

Since 1894, Lovett & Green's legal practitioners have held a reputation for unparalleled experience in rural law, built on long-standing relationships with our clients. Over more than 130 years, our team has come to service clients throughout regional New South Wales. Our clients are genuine, country people who place real trust in the people who act for them, and who are always grateful for the work you do.

We're a firm that embraces flexible and remote work while remaining committed to the kind of personal, relationship-first service our clients have relied on for over a century.

The Opportunity

• Manage your own property and conveyancing matters with genuine autonomy

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, often across generations of the same family

• Provide practical, commercially sensible advice suited to rural and regional clients

• Maintain proactive,

regular communication with clients throughout their matters

• Manage settlement timelines and client expectations

• Work collaboratively with the firm's Principal Solicitors on larger or more complex transactions

• Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the firm

Key Areas of Practice

• Rural and regional property acquisitions and disposals, including high value transactions

• Residential, rural, water and commercial conveyancing

• Commercial and rural leasing

• Family and intergenerational property succession

• Estate planning for rural and farming families, including wills, powers of attorney and farm succession planning

• General property-related advice for farmers and landholders

About You

• Admission as an Australian Legal Practitioner, with a current NSW practising certificate

• Hands-on property transactional experience (commercial, residential, water and/or rural conveyancing)– this is essential

• No rural or agribusiness experience required– the specifics of rural law are something we will teach you

• Ability to manage matters autonomously while staying connected to a team

• A proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Genuine interest in building a long-term career with the firm

The following experience will be viewed favourably:

• Rural or agricultural property matters

• Estate planning or succession law, particularly for farming families

• Prior remote or flexible working experience

Why Join Lovett & Green?

• Fully remote, with hybrid or office-based options for those who'd prefer it

• Flexible and part-time arrangements available

• Realistic billable targets- no more clock-watching

• Varied, meaningful work with real people and real impact

• Competitive salary, with genuine opportunity for career and remuneration growth

• Supported by modern practice management systems

• Direct client contact, often across generations of the same family

Who Will Thrive in This Role?

• Genuinely enjoys working with their clients and cares about the people they act for

• Comfortable managing their own workload and priorities

• A proactive, consistent communicator

• Values long-term client relationships over one-off transactions

• Wants to build a career with a firm, not just take a job
