The Federal Government appointed Country SA PHN to enhance the delivery of focused and appropriate health services to the rural communities of South Australia.

The goal of the organisation is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of health services for people particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes, improve the coordination of health services, and increase access and quality support for people.

The Opportunity

Located in the heart of the beautiful Barossa Valley, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Manager of Business to join our team in Nuriootpa, just 50 minutes north-east of Adelaide.

As the Manager of Business, you will play a key role in supporting the business, administration, and corporate functions of Country SA PHN. You will have direct responsibility to provide high level administrative support to the Executive Team and CSAPHN Board, along with business support functions to support the strategic objectives of Country SA PHN.

You will support business planning and organisational change to help achieve positive outcomes across the organisation.

This role is 0.8 FTE and it is expected that this position will remain flexible to meet the changing needs of the organisation and community.

About you

Essential Criteria

Qualifications:

- Relevant qualifications in Business Management, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience in providing a confidential and effective administrative and support service at an Executive or Senior level.

Experience / Knowledge/ Skills / Abilities:

- Knowledge and expertise in administrative and business processes, functions and systems including those relating to records management.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and apply tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
- Proven ability to use IT and communication technology and word processing applications including the Microsoft Office suite, to a high standard.
- Able to utilise initiative, judgement and discretion in providing high-quality timely services, and anticipate and resolve problems and handle enquiries tactfully and responsibly.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and connections with a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders to ensure best collective outcomes and solutions.
- Experience in leading and delivering results across multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, as part of a team and across business areas, functions, and organisations.
- Applies an evidence-based approach to problem-solving.

Desirable Criteria:

- An appreciation of primary health care culture and the issues currently facing primary health care services
- An understanding of ethics and confidentiality issues particularly in relation to the health and medical professions
