Camco Engineering is a mechanical engineering company located in Perth, Western Australia, providing a range of manufacturing & maintenance services to the mining, power generation, oil and gas sectors.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking an energetic and capable individual with a strong background in Fixed Plant Operations, ideally with Mechanical Fitting or Machining experience. This role requires someone with excellent internal and external communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review job quotations

- Order materials and components as required

- Initiate production documentation and sign off on completed work

- Manage and document non-conformances, including corrective and preventive actions

- Forecast workload and resource requirements

- Maintain quality assurance and compliance with company processes and industry standards

- Support risk management activities across all stages of the project lifecycle

The successful candidate will ideally possess, or demonstrate the ability to learn, the following:

- Ability to review tender documentation from both a technical and commercial perspective

- Proven experience in contract negotiation





- Trade qualified as a Mechanical Fitter or Machinist

- Strong teamwork and leadership abilities

- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills

- Understanding of QA systems, contract documentation, mechanical drawings, and material take-offs

- Strong knowledge of the local industry

- Clear and professional communication skills

- Strong commitment to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Quality Assurance (QA)

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Qualifications

- Project Management experience within the mining or manufacturing sector is highly desirable

- Post-Trade experience as a Machinist or Fitter – Mandatory
