The Role
As a Service Account Executive, you will combine your technical air conditioning expertise with leadership and account management skills. Reporting directly to the State Manager (with a dotted line to the National Service Manager), you will lead a team of 4 technicians and apprentices, oversee Authorised Service Centres (ASCs), and deliver exceptional service outcomes across the state.
Key responsibilities include:
Authorised Service Centre Management
- Manage relationships and regular call cycles with Authorised Service Centres.
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews, auditing KPIs, stock levels, and safety compliance.
- Select, negotiate, and onboard new ASCs based on capability, geographic distribution, and cultural fit.
People & Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and coach direct reports (technicians and apprentices).
- Conduct performance reviews, manage leave approvals, and handle workforce planning.
- Facilitate regular monthly toolbox talks and ensure staff training and certification compliance.
Technical Support & Quality Control
- Provide high-level technical guidance and escalating complex issues to Engineering as needed.
- Conduct product and accreditation training on complex systems (e.g., high-level controls, Hercules series).
- Assist on-site with high-profile clients or complex technical escalation points.
Operations, Admin & WHS
- Oversee service call logging, scheduling, job distribution, and customer escalations.
- Review and approve quotations, warranty claims, and ASC invoices within designated authority limits.
- Ensure strict adherence to WH&S; regulations, conducting site safety inspections and risk assessments.
Who We're Looking For
- Trade Qualifications: Certificate III in Electrotechnology Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 6 years of hands-on trade experience.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record in supervising, leading, or mentoring staff.
- Safety & Compliance: Sound working knowledge of WH&S; regulations, risk assessments, and compliance standards.
- Administrative & Systems Tech: Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, basic inventory management principles, and familiarity with accounts payable/receivable processes.
- Core Competencies: Strong communication, conflict resolution, problem-solving under pressure, and a high-level customer focus.
