Custom Truck Bodies is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator and Machine Operator to join our team in Molendinar, Queensland. As a Sheet Metal Fabricator & Machine Operator, you will play a key role in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality custom Toolboxes & Accessories for truck Bodies. This is a full-time opportunity with a reputable and growing company in the trades and services industry.

Key responsibilities

- Operate fabrication equipment such as Guillotine & folding equipment to shape and form metal components

- Perform welding, fabrication, and assembly of toolboxes, equipment, and components

- Read and interpret engineering diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise fabrication

- Use a variety of welding techniques, including MIG& TIG welding, to produce high-quality welds

- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects

- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for





- Several years of experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator, ideally in the trades and services or manufacturing industries

- Proficiency in operating Brake Press & Guillotine as well as MIG & TIG welding techniques Required.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate with colleagues

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the workplace
