The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Director (Patient Safety and Quality Improvement) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-robust team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

- Lead and engage high level stakeholder engagement at local and state level
- Provide authoritative counsel to the Executive, Senior Managers, Executive Safety and Quality Committee, Board Safety and Quality Committee
- Collaborate with the Clinical Governance Service Senior Leadership team
- Provide strategic direction and over the Clinical Incident Management program

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

- Qualification in relevant health practitioner discipline: Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work, Speech Pathology (as per the attached role description)
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia or relevant registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $161,540 - $167,217 per annum
