QIX Consulting Group is partnering with an established and highly regarded Financial Services firm in North Sydney to recruit two experienced accounting professionals to join their growing team.

We are currently seeking candidates at two levels:

- Accountant

- Senior Accountant

These are excellent opportunities for accounting professionals looking to take the next step in their careers within a supportive, professional and high-performing environment.

You’ll gain exposure to a diverse client portfolio, work closely with experienced senior leaders and continue developing both your technical and advisory capabilities.

Depending on your experience, packages are available up to $150,000 inclusive of super.

The Opportunity

Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities may include:

- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals

- Preparing BAS, IAS and other statutory compliance requirements

- Managing a portfolio of clients

- Providing taxation, compliance and business advisory support

- Assisting clients with tax planning and broader business matters

- Liaising directly with clients and developing robust ongoing relationships

- Liaising with the ATO and responding to queries and notices

- Identifying taxation and accounting issues and providing practical solutions

- Conducting tax research and remaining current with relevant legislative changes

- Supporting, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members at Senior Accountant level

- Working closely with senior leaders on more complex client matters

About You

To be considered for either opportunity, you will have:





- Previous Australian accounting experience within a professional services environment

- Experience at Accountant or Senior Accountant level

- A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline

- CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards completion, highly regarded

- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting requirements

- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across a range of entity structures

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Confidence communicating directly with clients

- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

For the Senior Accountant opportunity, we are particularly interested in candidates who can confidently manage client relationships, work autonomously across a portfolio and provide guidance to junior team members.
