About the role:

The Quality Assurance Systems Coordinator will assist with the implementation of the company’s quality strategy by ensuring the proper implementation and regular update of the prerequisite programs as defined by GFSI, Customer and Norco QA standards. They will provide assistance to improve factory hygiene and ensure training of all factory personnel in Hygiene and Food Safety requirements and standards. To lead and drive initiatives such as staff training, internal auditing and root cause analysis that deliver improvements to the site’s quality measures and overall quality standards.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

- A degree in Science, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or equivalent experience.




- Experience with GFSI-recognised food safety standards in a food manufacturing environment, with two or more years preferred.
- HACCP qualification and the capability to support SQF practitioner requirements.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulatory requirements and factory hygiene practices.
- Understanding of food microbiology, quality systems and operational quality requirements.
- Dairy or broader food manufacturing experience, highly regarded.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A detail-oriented, proactive and improvement-focused mindset.

Ideally the successful applicant will possess the following essential & desirable selection criteria:

- Tertiary qualifications in food technology/science or microbiology desirable with strong analytical based processes in a food laboratory.
- Detailed understanding of concepts in quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC).
- Previous experience in a quality or microbiological role in Food manufacturing workplace.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to problem solve.
- A proactive, self starter you will be able to work autonomously and have the willingness to take on responsibility and ownership of tasks.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety principles and supporting programs.
