Our client, N & G Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Painter to join the team.

Tasks Include:

· Clean, sand, and smooth surfaces. Fill cracks, holes, and joints with putty or fillers to ensure a smooth surface before painting.

· Select, mix, and apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns. Follow paint manufacturers' instructions to ensure consistency and durability.

· Use masking tape, drop cloths, and other materials to protect areas not being painted. Remove fixtures like doorknobs, windows, or switch covers where necessary.

· Assist in estimating the amount of material and time required for jobs and maintain accurate records of work performed.

· Apply paints, wallpaper, decorative finishes, and special effects such as marbling or wood-graining as required by the client specifications.

· Fixing woodwork, filling or sealing holes, cracks and joins and washing them down to remove dust and grease.

· Provide colour matching services and advise clients on colour selections based on their preferences and the design of the space.

· Adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations,



including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Ensure a protected work environment by using appropriate protective equipment.

· Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment, and workspaces after completing each job. Ensure all tools are in valuable working order.

· Work alongside other trades specialists to ensure that all finishing touches align with the overall construction project.

Qualifications and Requirements

· Certificate III level qualifications or equivalent in Painting and Decorating or other relevant field.

· 1 years of relevant experience working as a Painter.

· Ability to problem solve and have critical thinking skills.

· Good oral communication skills.

· Proficiency in various painting techniques, tools, and materials.

· Knowledge of colour theory, surface preparation, and finish application.

· Strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on quality and precision.

· Physical stamina and the ability to work in different environmental conditions (indoors and outdoors).

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
