Dairy Cattle Farmer/Animal Husbandry Technician

u003cpWe are a family farm milking 600cows on a 50 stand rotary dairy in KyValley, located 5 minutes from Kyabram. We are seeking an experienced person who is passionate about milk quality, has valuable communication skills, is a self-motivated team player and has the ability to work independently.u003c/p>u003cp>The role involves animal husbandry skills to lead and assist with artificial insemination, pregnancy testing, calf rearing and treatments for lactating cows. Other duties include milking harvesting, feeding calves, treatments, heifer programs, droving, maintaining herd records, general maintenance, fencing, mixer wagon feed-outs and irrigation. The ability to cut, rake and bale would be highly regarded.



Single accommodation is available on farm for the right applicant.u003c/p>u003cp>This is a full time position and comes under the Pastoral Award.u003c/p>u003cpRequired Skills and Experience:u003c/p>u003cul>u003cli>Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or higher equivalent is desirable,u003c/li>u003cli>At least 3 years recent relevant work experience is desirable,u003c/li>u003cli>A current Driver's Licence.u003c/li>u003c/ul>u003cp>A comprehensive salary package from $72,000 to $79,423 plus superannuation.u003c/p>
