IT Officer/ Entry Level Cyber Security officer - Part time position

An established Australian technology company is looking to engage an enthusiastic IT Support / Entry Level Cyber Security Officer to join its growing ICT team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to kick‑start or further develop a career in Cyber Security while gaining hands‑on experience across IT support, systems administration and cyber operations. The successful IT Support / Entry Level Cyber Security Officer will join a team-oriented team, working 2–3 days per week with flexible hybrid working arrangements and the prospect to grow into a broader Cyber Security role.

The successful IT Support / Entry Level Cyber Security Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Providing Level 1 and Level 2 IT support to internal staff across hardware, software and Microsoft 365 environments
Assisting with user onboarding and offboarding, account administration and device configuration
Supporting endpoint security, vulnerability management and cyber security best practices
Monitoring and responding to security alerts and escalating incidents where required
Maintaining ICT documentation,



asset registers and standard operating procedures
Assisting with the implementation and ongoing support of security tools and technologies
Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a secure and reliable IT environment

The successful IT Support / Entry Level Cyber Security Officer will have experience in the following:
Previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk or Help Desk role
A genuine passion for Cyber Security and a desire to build a career in the industry
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and endpoint devices
Understanding of basic networking concepts and cyber security principles
Relevant IT or Cyber Security qualifications or certifications (or currently studying) will be highly regarded
Strong communication, problem‑solving and customer service skills
