All soldiers in the Army complete Basic Training here, known as the "Home of the Soldier".
These health facilities support the Army Recruit Training Centre (ARTC).
It has a 50-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7.
Services provided include primary medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy.
Health Centre staff may be required to work across Wagga & Kapooka.




Standard hours of operation are generally ********* Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).
What You'll DoDeliver nursing care to Defence personnel under the direction and supervision of a Registered NurseProvide outpatient care, and where required support inpatient care within a health centre or hospital settingAdminister medications (where endorsed) in line with legislative requirements and clinical protocolsAssist with patient assessments, treatment plans and health promotion activitiesWork collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality careWhat You BringCurrent unconditional and unrestricted AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2)Minimum two years' post registration nursing experience in acute care, primary healthcare or similar setting within the last five yearsMedication endorsement (if applicable to role requirements)Commitment to clinical governance, infection control and high-quality patient careCurrent CPR certification (HLTAID009)Australian Citizenship required (baseline security clearance)Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional developmentWho We AreSerco supports governments by delivering essential services across defence, health, justice, maritime and community services.Through our partnership with Bupa, we provide integrated on-base healthcare to Australian Defence Force personnel across 45+ locations.
