Every day, our teams help young people overcome barriers, build confidence and reconnect with opportunity.
About the Program
The Homes First Program is an exciting, multi‐year pilot initiative designed to support single adults, families, and young people who are experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping.
Our goal is simple yet powerful: secure safe, long‐term housing first, then wrap around the flexible, culturally safe and trauma‐informed supports needed for individuals and families to thrive.
Guided by the internationally recognised Housing First principles, our work reflects the belief that:
Everyone has a right to a home
Housing and support are separate
Support is flexible and available as long as needed
Individuals have choice and self‐determination
Engagement is active, without coercion
Practice is recovery‐oriented
Social and community inclusion matters
A harm‐reduction approach underpins all support
The program spans three years of case management, with an additional year of intermittent support to ensure ongoing stability.
The outcomes we strive for include long‐term housing, improved mental and physical health, and strengthened connection to community.
