This is a rare opportunity to lead the finance function of a well-established, family-rooted South Australian food business and be a key voice in shaping its financial strategy.About the roleReporting directly to the CEO and leading a small finance team, you'll own financial planning and reporting, statutory compliance, financial risk and internal controls, and provide the analysis and modelling that underpins Barossa Fine Foods' biggest business decisions.
It's a broad, hands‐on role that blends strategic input with day‐to‐day financial management.What you'll be doingLead, develop and manage the Finance and transactional accounting team, including workforce and performance managementPrepare and present monthly and annual financial reports, budgets, forecasts and cash flow analysisBuild financial models to assess new projects, business opportunities and investment decisionsOversee Accounts Payable/Receivable, corporate credit cards, financial delegations and international paymentsManage statutory reporting, annual audit, tax compliance (BAS, FBT, income tax, R&D;) and payroll reviewMaintain banking relationships and covenant reporting, and arrange finance facilities (equipment, trade finance, bank guarantees)Oversee insurance renewals, WorkCover, superannuation and payroll tax compliancePartner with Sales,



Marketing and other business units to identify cost savings and efficiency opportunitiesChampion continuous improvement and a performance‐driven culture across the finance functionAbout youTertiary qualification in Accounting with CA/CPA (or equivalent) professional qualification5-10 years' experience in a similar Financial Controller or senior finance roleStrong commercial mindset, with a focus on opportunities and enhancing processesDemonstrated experience in statutory accounting, finance management and finance business partneringProven ability to lead and develop a small, hands‐on teamStrong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills (macro experience a plus)Comfortable working with financial software and emerging AI toolsExperience in food processing, manufacturing or a similar industry highly regardedExcellent time management, communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure and to deadlinesAbout Barossa Fine FoodsBarossa Fine Foods is a proud, family-rooted business built on provenance, integrity and sustainability.
