The NHVR has an exciting prospect for a Heavy Vehicle Inspection Officer to join our team, working across Logan and Darra inspection sites.
This is an opportunity to play a critical role in improving road safety by ensuring heavy vehicles operating on Queensland roads meet legislative and safety requirements.As a Heavy Vehicle Inspection Officer, you will conduct inspections across all types and classes of heavy vehicles to ensure compliance with road transport legislation.
You will issue defect notices where required, manage follow-up compliance actions, and contribute to reducing the severity of road trauma while protecting Australia's road infrastructure.A key aspect of the role is working closely with a broad range of stakeholders.
You will provide advice and guidance to transport operators, members of the public, and partner law enforcement agencies on vehicle safety standards, inspection processes, defect notices, and legislative requirements.
