Baird & McGregor Lawyers is seeking a Family Lawyer to join our growing Family Law team.
We are open to applications from lawyers at all stages of their career, from recently admitted practitioners through to experienced family law solicitors.This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of family law matters, including parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce proceedings, child support, intervention orders, and financial agreements.
The level of responsibility, autonomy, mentoring and career development opportunities will be tailored to your experience and career goals.You will work closely with our experienced legal team and have the opportunity to develop your advocacy, negotiation, and client management skills while contributing to meaningful outcomes for clients.What You'll Be DoingProviding practical and solution-focused legal advice to clients on a range of family law mattersManaging family law files with an appropriate level of supervision and supportPreparing and reviewing legal documents, including parenting plans, consent orders, affidavits, and financial agreementsRepresenting clients in mediations, negotiations, court events,



and hearingsBriefing and liaising with counselDeveloping and maintaining strong client relationshipsWorking collaboratively with lawyers and support staff across the firmContributing to the growth and success of the Family Law practiceKeeping up to date with developments in family law legislation and practiceWhat We're Looking ForAdmission as an Australian Lawyer with a current practising certificate (or eligibility to obtain one)Experience in family lawStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA client-focused approach and a genuine desire to help people through challenging circumstancesGood organisational and time management skillsStrong drafting, negotiation and problem-solving abilitiesA willingness to learn, develop professionally and contribute to a collaborative team environmentWhy Join Baird & McGregor Lawyers?
