Dynamic security role at the re-opening Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct.

Full training provided, including a fully-funded Certificate IV in Youth Justice.
Earn up to $99,645 per year, on a base of $62,104 (including standard penalty rates).
Relocation allowance available for eligible candidates.
Background
Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct has reopened and will house a small group of young men in custody aged 17 and over.
Night youth justice workers are the frontline staff who will supervise and support young people overnight at Malmsbury.
Responsibilities
conduct regular wellbeing checks of young people
redirect anti-social and challenging behaviour
monitor CCTV, complete compliance reporting and respond to any alarms
respond to incidents as they occur
facilitate support from other services, including health and mental health providers, educators and disability organisations.

Eligibility and Requirements
must be either an Australian citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen who has entered Australia on a valid passport or is eligible to work in Australia for more than six months.




pass a health and fitness assessment.
independently obtain current First Aid Certification (HLTAID011), current CPR Certification, and a valid Working with Children Check (Employee).
All certificates must be valid for at least three months from employment start date.
a driver's licence is desirable but not mandatory.

Salary up to $99,645 per year on a base of $62,104 (including standard penalty rates).
Relocation allowance up to $10,000 for eligible candidates who are interested in moving to within an hour's drive of the facility.
