PV Projects successfully work with a wide variety of customers including Department of Education, CSIRO, Public Works and Teacher Housing.
We require a Lead Handing Bricklayer to join our team in Dubbo.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Continuously monitoring the vertical and horizontal alignment of walls using levels and plumb lines.
Enforce strict adherence to WHS policies, SafeWork NSW requirements, and company safety procedures; identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, ensure PPE use, and report incidents immediately.
Lead a team of bricklayers and labourers (depending on project size), monitoring progress, and providing on-the-job guidance and mentoring.
Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality control,



and site cleanliness/tidiness; conduct regular inspections and address defects promptly.
Manage tools, equipment, and site resources responsibly; ensure proper maintenance and secure storage.
Mentor and train apprentices/junior staff, including demonstrating techniques.
Preparing sites and laying foundations, setting scaffolding, and mixing mortar.
Restoring and repairing aged or damaged brickwork.
Spreading mortar using trowels and placing bricks or blocks in rows and specific patterns.
Studying blueprints and specifications to calculate material requirements and determine dimensions.
Utilizing both hand and power tools (e.g., brick hammers, diamond blade saws) to cut bricks to fit irregular spaces.
To be considered you will need to hold an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV and at least 1 year of relevant employment experience; OR, at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
This is a full time position, an immediate start is available.
A remuneration package of $90,000 - $100,000 per annum will be offered to the successful candidate.
