Position summaryJoin our dynamic team as a Site/Commissioning Lead Electrical Engineer and take charge of critical electrical commissioning activities across major mining projects.
In this pivotal role, you will lead on-site commissioning teams through the successful delivery of HV/MV electrical systems, ensuring seamless integration of SCADA and control systems within mineral processing plants.
Drawing on your proven leadership experience and deep understanding of Australian mining standards compliance, you will coordinate project planning, drive cross-functional collaboration, and resolve complex technical challenges as they arise.
Your expertise in mineral processing plant commissioning, combined with strong technical communication skills, will be essential in guiding teams through intricate commissioning phases and achieving operational readiness.

About the role
Lead and manage on-site commissioning activities for electrical systems across mineral processing and mining projects.
Oversee the testing, energisation and integration of HV/MV electrical infrastructure and SCADA control systems.
Coordinate commissioning teams and collaborate with project managers, contractors and client stakeholders.
Ensure all electrical commissioning works comply with Australian mining standards and safety regulations.
Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning phases to maintain project schedules.
Prepare commissioning documentation, test reports and handover packages for client acceptance.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to field engineers and commissioning personnel in office.
About the candidate
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5 years' experience in site commissioning or field engineering roles.
Proven track record leading and managing commissioning teams on-site.
Extensive experience with HV/MV electrical systems commissioning and testing.
Demonstrated expertise in mineral processing plant commissioning activities.
Strong knowledge of Australian mining standards and compliance requirements.
Experience with SCADA and control systems integration on major projects.
Background working on major mining projects from commissioning through to handover.
Excellent project coordination and planning capabilities.
Strong technical communication skills with ability to liaise across all project stakeholders.
Proven problem-solving abilities in high-pressure commissioning environments.
Collaborative approach with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
