As an Events Officer, you'll be part of a creative and energetic team responsible for delivering one of local government's most dynamic festivals and events programs.
From largescale festivals and civic celebrations to emerging community experiences, you'll help shape events that connect people, celebrate culture and showcase everything that makes Wyndham unique.
Reporting to the Team Leader Events, you'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects, working alongside artists, community groups, contractors and colleagues from across Council to deliver safe, inclusive and memorable experiences for our growing community.

What your day will look like
Bring festivals, events and community experiences to life from concept through to evaluation.
Collaborate with artists, performers, suppliers, contractors, community organisations and internal teams to deliver exceptional event outcomes.
Manage project timelines, budgets, procurement and logistics while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
Develop protected, accessible and inclusive events that reflect best practice and create positive experiences for everyone.
Think creatively, solve problems and contribute fresh ideas as our events program continues to evolve.
What you will bring
We'll be someone who enjoys making things happen and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves when event day arrives.We're looking for someone with:
Experience delivering festivals,
events or community experiences from planning through to delivery.
Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
Experience managing budgets, contractors and event logistics.
A sound understanding of event risk management, safety and compliance.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Creativity, initiative and a genuine passion for creating experiences that bring communities together.
Relevant qualifications in Event Management, Project Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
