Clinical Nurse - Mental Health (Emergency Department)

Join the Princess Alexandra Hospital Emergency Department Mental Health team as a Clinical Nurse in one of multiple temporary full-time or part-time contracts (up to 6 months), delivering expert mental health care in a dynamic, 24/7 emergency environment in Brisbane.
Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse within the Princess Alexandra Hospital Emergency Department Mental Health team, you'll provide advanced specialist nursing care to consumers experiencing acute mental health presentations while leading clinical excellence within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
You will do this by:
Delivering comprehensive mental health assessments, interventions and discharge planning.
Providing clinical leadership, support and guidance to nursing and multidisciplinary team members.
Coordinating complex consumer care and promoting recovery-oriented, person-centred practice.
Contributing to quality improvement, research and evidence-based practice initiatives.
Supporting education, mentoring and supervision of students and staff.
Working collaboratively with consumers, families and key internal and external stakeholders.
About you:
You are an experienced Mental Health Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
You will bring:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in mental health nursing.
Robust assessment,



clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive multidisciplinary relationships.
A commitment to clinical leadership, continuous improvement and professional development.
The ability to mentor others while contributing to a positive team culture.
