RPR Trades is seeking reliable and safety-focusedEntry-Level CNC Laser Operatorsfor a well-established Australian-owned metal processing and fabrication business based inDarra.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a forklift ticket and an interest in manufacturing, sheet metal, steel processing or CNC machinery.
Full training and support will be provided for the right person, however previous experience in a production, warehouse, machine operating or fabrication environment will be highly regarded.
About the Role
You will be working in a modern manufacturing environment, assisting with the operation of CNC laser cutting equipment to produce accurate metal components to specification.
Duties may include:
Assisting with the setup and operation of CNC laser cutting machines
Loading and unloading sheet material safely
Checking material type, thickness and quantity before production
Reading basic work orders, job sheets and production instructions
Monitoring machine operation during production
Checking finished parts for quality and accuracy
Using basic measuring equipment




Moving materials and finished products with a forklift
Replacing basic consumables under direction
Reporting faults, defects or material concerns
Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe
Following all workplace health and safety procedures
To be considered, you will need:
Current forklift licence
Reliable transport
Strong commitment to safety
Good attention to detail
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to follow instructions and procedures
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Positive attitude and positive work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Highly Regarded
Previous machine operating experience
Experience in manufacturing, steel, sheet metal, fabrication or warehouse environments
Ability to read basic drawings or job sheets
Overhead crane, gantry crane or materials handling experience
Previous CNC laser, plasma, press brake or metal processing experience
