We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Plumber to join the team at TAPS R US AUSTRALIA PTY LTD in Kunda Park, Queensland.
This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our plumbing systems and equipment.
As a Maintenance Plumber, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plumbing installations across our operations, contributing directly to the smooth functioning of our business and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Conduct routine maintenance inspections on plumbing systems, fixtures and equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems
Perform repairs and replacements of faulty pipes, fittings, valves and other plumbing components
Install new plumbing systems and fixtures according to specifications and relevant building codes
Troubleshoot plumbing issues and diagnose problems accurately using appropriate testing equipment
Maintain detailed records of maintenance work completed, including parts used and time spent on each job
Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls and provide swift solutions to minimise downtime
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
Liaise with customers to explain work performed and provide advice on plumbing care and maintenance
Order and maintain adequate supplies of plumbing materials and tools
What we're looking for
A recognised plumbing qualification or apprenticeship certification in plumbing
Current plumber's licence or equivalent registration as required by Queensland regulations
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working as a plumber in maintenance or service roles
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, tools and techniques




Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
Excellent problem-solving abilities and diagnostic skills
Physical fitness and ability to work in various environments and positions
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
A commitment to health and safety standards and best practices
Familiarity with plumbing software or digital record-keeping systems (preferred)
Knowledge of sustainable plumbing practices and water-saving technologies (advantageous)
