About the Position
This is an exciting prospect for a passionate Village Manager with a strong commercial mindset ready for their next challenge to lead our Newling Gardens Retirement Village in Armidale.
This unique role combines operational leadership with sales accountability, offering the opportunity to influence both resident experience and village growth.
You will play a pivotal role in implementing RetireAustralia's purpose of enabling residents to maintain the life they choose within their own home for as long as possible, while driving village sales outcomes, supporting marketing initiatives and maintaining a strong pipeline of future residents.
Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the village, ensuring exceptional resident outcomes, operational excellence and achievement of sales and occupancy targets.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Overall management of the retirement village, including financial management, staff leadership and compliance with relevant legislation and standards
Planning, developing and managing village budgets and financial performance
Maintaining high standards of village presentation, amenities and services
Building positive relationships with residents, their families, service providers and the broader community
Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for current and prospective residents
Leading village sales activities to achieve occupancy, settlement and revenue targets
Developing and managing enquiry pipelines, converting leads and maintaining accurate prospect information within company systems
Conducting village tours, inspections and presentations for prospective residents
Working closely with the Marketing team to support local campaigns, open days,



expos, community events and referral partnerships
Identifying future resale opportunities and assisting residents through the sales and transition process
Coordinating refurbishment and presentation of homes to maximise market appeal and sales outcomes
Overseeing the recruitment, training and management of staff to ensure a high standard of service delivery
Implementing policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents
Working collaboratively with Operations, Sales and Marketing teams to achieve village performance objectives and resident satisfaction outcomes
Previous experience within Retirement Living, Aged or Community Care services (desirable)
Previous Home or Residential Aged Care nursing experience (highly regarded)
A relevant qualification in Business or Retirement Living is highly desirable.
Strong working knowledge of the Retirement Villages Act (or willingness to quickly ascertain), and other relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial performance
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Real Estate Certificate or Licence (highly regarded)
National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
First Aid & CPR Certificate(or ability to obtain)
Ability to pass a pre-employment medicalincluding a drug and alcohol test
