We're partnering with a well-established international business seeking an experiencedFinancial Accountantto take ownership of the Australian finance function.
This is a standalone role locally, supported by an experienced global finance team, offering the autonomy to run your own remit while still having plenty of support when needed.
The business has operated successfully in Australia for over 20 years and offers a genuinely flexible environment.
You'll work24 hours per week, with the freedom to split your hours across3 full days or 4–5 shorter days—whatever works best for you.

The Role Reporting into the overseas finance team, you'll be responsible for the full accounting function for the Australian business, including:
End-to-end financial accounting, month-end and year-end close
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations
Payroll coordination with external providers
BAS preparation and statutory reporting
Financial reporting, reconciliations and analysis
Budgeting and forecasting support
Intercompany accounting
Managing external auditors and tax advisors
Workers Compensation, FBT and other compliance requirements
Inventory accounting and inventory reconciliations within a wholesale/distribution environment
Monitoring inventory movements and ensuring inventory records remain accurate
Reconciling third-party logistics (3PL) records to the ERP system

About You To be successful, you'll bring:
5+ years' experience in a Financial Accountant or Company Accountant position
Experience managing the full accounting function independently
Experience within a wholesale, distribution, import/export or product-based business
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously
